Raw Comb Honey

Our raw comb honey is honey just as the bees made it—naturally stored and sealed in fresh beeswax. Each 300 g piece is hand-cut straight from the hive. Nothing is taken away, so you can enjoy the honey and edible beeswax together. Every piece of comb is a little different. The colour, flavour, and texture can vary depending on the flowers our bees visited and the nectar they collected.

Ways to Enjoy Comb Honey

There’s no wrong way to enjoy comb honey! Try it:

  • By itself, straight from the spoon
  • Alongside your favourite cheese or on a charcuterie board
  • Mixed into yogurt or served over ice cream
  • On warm pancakes, waffles, or oatmeal
  • Cut or crumbled over a fresh salad
  • Spread onto warm toast or freshly baked bread

Can You Eat the Beeswax?

Yes! Beeswax is completely edible. Some people enjoy chewing the wax like gum and then removing it once the honey is gone. Others simply swallow it along with the honey.

How Should I Store Comb Honey?

For everyday use, keep your comb honey at room temperature in a sealed container, away from heat and direct sunlight. Honey may naturally begin to crystallize over time. If you'd like to keep it softer for longer, you can store the comb in the freezer and bring it back to room temperature before enjoying.

Does Comb Honey Go Bad?

NO! Over time, however, it may crystallize. This is completely natural and does not mean the honey has gone bad. The rate and type of crystallization can vary depending on the flowers the bees collected nectar from.
